eviCore^® Preauthorization Training – MSK Services and OB Ultrasound

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas is working with eviCore healthcare (eviCore), an independent specialty medical benefits management company, to offer provider orientation sessions. This web-based training will help you navigate the eviCore healthcare (eviCore) website and submit requests for preauthorization of musculoskeletal (MSK) services and obstetric ultrasounds (OBUS).

Even simple errors can lead to a denial. Submitting requests online reduces the chance of error. Learn how to properly submit requests for physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech therapy (ST), joint and spine surgery, pain management and OBUS services by enrolling in the appropriate training sessions below. This is your chance to have your eviCore questions answered by the experts.

In the training, you will learn how to electronically submit preauthorization requests through eviCore. You’ll also learn how to access and locate required information from the eviCore website and what clinical documentation you need for the top requested services. Each training session is approximately one hour. Registration is required. There is no cost for the training.

How to Register

• Go to evicore.webex.com .
• Click “WebEx Training” located on the left-side of the webpage.
• Click the “Upcoming” tab to select the orientation training session to attend.
  NOTE: Orientation training sessions are shown as “BCBSIL & BCBSTX MSK Provider Orientation Session” or “BCBSIL & BCBSTX OBUS Provider Orientation Session” under the “Topic” field.
• Click the “Register” box and enter all required information.

You’ll receive a confirmation email containing a link to your selected training session and your registration ID.
