Provider Manual Updates
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) makes periodic updates and clarifications related to operational changes and regulatory mandates to the provider manual, processes and policies and procedures that you comply with as a network provider. We continue to share these changes in our monthly Blue Review and also communicate these changes in the News and Updates and/or Provider Standards and Disclosures Section of bcbstx.com/provider, or via mail.
We have added section M which is the "Employee Retirement System of Texas (ERS) Participants Benefit Plan using Blue Essentials Network" to our Blue Essentials, Blue Advantage HMO and Blue Premier Provider Manual as an additional resource tool designated to assist you with ERS HealthSelectSM and Consumer Directed HealthSelectSM participants who became effective with BCBSTX September 1, 2017.
We will continue to provide disclosures on our website and encourage you to review our website and future Blue Review issues as you provide care to your patients. As a provider, it is your responsibility to review and comply with these changes.
